Salem overcame a disastrous top of the first inning and held a two-run lead over Lynchburg heading into the ninth inning Sunday.
The Hillcats bookended a three-run first inning with a three-run ninth as they rallied to claim a 6-5 win over the Red Sox before an announced crowd of 1,795 at Salem Memorial Ballpark.
